The 4th TERI-KAS conference will seek to unravel the linkages between energy resources and India’s national security agenda and strategy. The conference will specifically focus on the security challenges posed by alternative energy sources such as nuclear energy and uranium, hydropower and renewables, but will not exclude the security concerns pertaining to fossil fuels as well.

Awareness and sensitization of students on waste management, water and energy conservation issues in two Government schools in Delhi

The discussed project aspires to impart knowledge, raise awareness and sensitize a select group of students to make the school premises energy efficient, zero waste zone and conserve water and harvest rainwater. The project will first result in capacity building of these students and slowly reach out to the entire school and other target groups through a multiplier effect.

Evaluation and refinement of existing micropropagation protocol of Jatropha curcas of DRDO for mass production of superior planting stock

The main objective of the proposed study is to evaluate the micropropagation protocol of Jatropha curcas developed by DRDO for its efficiency and suitability for two Jatropha clones identified by DRDO and convert the lab scale protocol into a commercially viable one through desired refinements

Analysis of the rural electrification strategy with special focus on the franchise system in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Karnataka

The project is to analyse the rural electrification strategy in the state of Andhara Predesh, Karnataka and Orisse. The study will focus on the efficacy of the RGGVY scheme in addressing the access to rural electrification within these states.
