Draft Rajasthan State Environment Policy

The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board has selected TERI to assist in preparation of a State Environment Policy (SEP). Rajasthan presently faces a number of serious environmental challenges in the areas of water resources, agriculture, industry, energy, urban development, tourism, forests and biodiversity, and others. The proposed SEP aims to outline a comprehensive strategy for protecting and enhancing the State?s environmental resources, so that development in these key sectors is not impeded by degradation of the natural resource base, and protection of human health and livelihoods is assured during the development process.
