FAO-UNEP has been engaged in developing a full-scale project proposal (for funding by GEF) on "Reducing Gas Emissions by Promoting Bioenergy for Heat Applications" through PDF-B grant from GEF. The proposed project targets the four countries; viz. Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
