Mobile air-conditioning assessment study in India
India''s Mobile Air-Conditoning (MAC) study is about the mobile air-conditioners which results in the direct emissions of chlorofloro carbon (CFC refrigerant), and the indirect emissions of CO2 generated by the extra fuel required to power the A/C system. The objective of this project is to determine fuel consumption and CO2 emissions due to operation of the MACs in different regions of the country with the refrigerant used presently and further estimate the same, if advanced refrigerants are used. This project would also carry out to
1. Analyze the suitability of various refrigerants and MAC technologies to improve the efficiency of the system (Technology Assessment)
2. Analyze the Government regulations to adopt the market transformation
3. Assess the benefits of alternative refrigerants in terms of fuel conservation as well as environmental emission reduction.
