The Study and Development of 100 kWe Biomass Gasifier Based Power Generation System in Thailand
The Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy, Thailand, has initiated the project on study and developing biomass gasifier based power generation in Thailand. The project was initiated mainly to develop the biomass gasifier based power generation in Thailand and to test different fuels and to check their feasibility (i.e. technical, economical etc) with the same gasifier based power-generating system, which will be used in the Thailand for further dissemination of the technology.
The project got sanctioned for Panya Consultants Ltd, Thailand (local Partner for this project) and they have procured this technology from TERI.
During the system running, the electricity thus generated will be fed to the Grid, which will be bought by (PEA) Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA is government agency for providing the electricity to rural areas). The grid connection part of the system is under Panya's scope of work.
