The project aims at survey and identification of superior high yielding trees of Pongamia through multidisciplinary approach. The trees will be evaluated morphologically, biochemically and with molecular markers for their potential for biodiesel production. Markers associated with oil and seed traits will be identified.

Doon school (Dehradun) wants their campus to be a model for green concepts. Art complex and Master's residence of the school will be rated for TERI-GRIHA and guidelines for future new buildings and existing heritage buildings will be framed based on the analysis carried out for Art complex and Master's residence. Renewable energy and waste water management feasibility study will be carried out at campus level.

The overarching objective of this Assignment is to educate and train school-teachers and trainers in topics related to Environment and Environment-Management, in a manner that will enable them to teach this subject to the students better.
It is proposed to address this by adopting the "Training of Trainers" (TOT) model. Training modules will be designed to equip Environment-Education (EE) teachers with resource material and skill-sets .

TERI with the support from DBT has developed bio-pesticide "Bollcure" from Eucalyptus leaf extract. Active principles have been identified and the product has been successfully tested on small plot field trials by ICAR Centers on cotton and chickpea following standard field protocols. Two patents for product and process have been filed. Many companies have shown interest in its commercialization.
