Evaluation and refinement of existing micropropagation protocol of Jatropha curcas of DRDO for mass production of superior planting stock

Training program on Climate Change & Clean Development Mechanism for GAIL executives

Lighting a Billion Lives

On farm field trials, value addition, and generation of data for 9(3) registration of TERI-DBT Bollcure biopesticide technology

TERI with the support from DBT has developed bio-pesticide "Bollcure" from Eucalyptus leaf extract. Active principles have been identified and the product has been successfully tested on small plot field trials by ICAR Centers on cotton and chickpea following standard field protocols. Two patents for product and process have been filed. Many companies have shown interest in its commercialization.

UNEP co-operates with TERI on LaBL Campaign

UNEP co-operates with TERI on extending lighting facilities to India under the Lighting a Billion Lives Campaign by way of Small Scale Funding Agreement. With support from small scale funding, lighting facilities will spread to atleast 10 villages/schools with the installation & commissioning of solar lantern charging stations, by working closely with LaBL Partner Organizations.

Database on Indian Transport Information

Dialogue for Sustainable Management of Trans-boundary Water Regimes in South Asia: A Bangladesh-India Initiative

IUCN intends to facilitate multi-stakeholder mechanisms that will promote a better understanding food, livelihood, and climate change concerns related to the water regimes of India and Bangladesh. The studies and discussions are amied to contribute to the development of a dynamic hub for scientific information and knolwedge pertaining to water and peoples of the riparian areas of the region.

Investment and Financial flows to Address Climate Change

The primary task of TERI under this project is to assess the investment and financial flows to address climate change for selected key sectors. For the same, a UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) methodology, which is partly based on UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Secretariat?s Investment and Financial flows relevant to the development of an effective and appropriate international response to climate change, will be used. Ten developing countries have been selected across the globe for the project.

The Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network

Asian Cities Climate Chnage Resilience Network is working in 3 cities in India namely Surat, Indore and Gorakhpurto to conduct city risk assessment for climate chnage and stakeholder consultations to come up with resilience responses for the cities. TERI would engage as a policy hand to the network and would be involved in the city consultations, would reiew the city resilience plans and results of the city risk assessments and do a policy synthesis review of the related policies in India, to alter recommend required policy interventions for facilitating urban adaptation for Indian cities.

Creating corporate responsibility

Project CARE (Creating Awareness and skills in youth for Responsibility towards Environment), a TERI-Accenture initiative, focuses on life skill development (for livelihood generation), specifically targeting low income communities in environmentally vulnerable localities. The project will be implemented in 7 cities, namely Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida. The duration of the project is one year.
