The Ministry of Environment and Forests and the Orissa Forest Department in association with TERI and DfID has organized a two-day workshop on Unlocking Opportunities for Forest Dependent People at Bhubaneswar from April 11-12, 2006. The workshop was amongst a series of workshops organized to disseminate the key findings of a national report titled "Unlocking Opportunities for Forest Dependent People in India", which outlined enabling factors for a more efficient community-based management of forests.DRUM Training Programme on "Regulation of Distribution Business"

The project aims to sensitize and educate students on issues related to water resource management. The target group identified will be school children from public and government schools, teachers, and associated communities. The project is being introduced in 30 schools from south and east Delhi. Specific issues to be addressed are water contamination, rainwater harvesting, water quality monitoring, and health. TERI proposes to organize an international conference on biofuels in October-November 2005, in partnership with the Ministry of Rural Development (the nodal ministry of the Government of India) for the Jatropha biodiesel programme.
