The report “Sustainable Development pathways for South Asia” would focus on the environmental pressures associated with four issues, important for the sustainability of development efforts in the region: food security, water security, energy security and sustainable urbanisation. Attaining food security, water security and energy security involves processes that draw heavily on the natural resource base. Also, the consumption of food, water and energy changes the environmental resources base and exercises pressure on it through the generation of wastes and emissions.Films on energy and environment for Air India's in-flight programming

In any oil industry, during drilling operations huge quantities of oil contaminated drill cuttings and synthetic oil based mud (SOBM) are generated as waste. These waste contain several toxic, mutagenic and carcinogenic hydrocarbon constituents which contribute to severe environmental pollution. Bioremediation of oily waste is a proven and environmentally friendly cost effective oil contamination treatment approach. West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC) has been considering measures for laying down the Operational and Maintenance norms of power stations and transmission and distribution networks along with some grid operation principles in West Bengal for improving performance of power sector entities in the State in context of the urgent need to implement the various provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003.
