TERI and Integarted Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) are already partners in taking LaBL forward in Koraput, Odisha. ITDA is supporting more than 200 tribal school hostels in the district. Children in these residential schools study in the light of dimly lit kerosene lamps during the evening hours. TERI has supported provision of solar lights in three of these schools.

Gender and renewable energy

As part of the on-going joint research study along with IEEJ (Institute for Energy Economics, Japan), TERI studied the e-filing system of India and the Japanese energy reporting system. Training program on Biotechnology for college teachers of north eastern region
