MY WATER (Mobilizing Youth for WATER conservation) - Phase II - is an extension of the MY WATER programme that was initaited on June 5th 2005. The programme aims at sensitizing students on careful usage of this precious resource.

HAREDA had issued a notification to incorporate energy efficient building features in all new Goverment sector buildings from 30th June, 2006. HAREDA has approached TERI to organise an orientation programme to equip the architects and engineers with the tools and technologies of energy efficient buildings.

The Forestry and Biodiversity Group of TERI has been awarded the consultancy by the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India, to conduct a mid-term evaluation of watershed development activities under the National Watershed Development Project for Rainfed Areas (NWDPRA) programme during the tenth five year plan.

TERI is involved with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact assessment under the UNDP-CCF-II, the afore-cited project is being implemented with the following objectives:- 1) Provide renewable energy for meeting cooking, lighting and motive power needs leading to additional income generation activities to enable the villages to cross the poverty line.
Biodiesel feasibility study for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd: Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh

Under this project, TERI would collaborate with HPCL for carrying out a feasibility study for Jatropha based biodiesel production in the states of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The study would take into account, the policy environment in terms of not only the policy initiatives of the GoI, but also the policy initiatives adopted by the respective state govts.
Disposal of Black liquor wastewater through high rate transpiration system using selected species of plants and mycorrhiza

· To develop intensive green cover in order to achieve higher transpiration rate. · Use of efficient microorganisms for sustainable plant growth and nutrient mobilization and their availability to plants. · Assessment on loading of effluent (primary treated) in created furrows at site. · Demonstration of fully operational model with effluent management and greening.
UK-India Collaboration to identify the barriers to the transfer of low carbon energy technology

Myanmar is committed toenhance the social and economic lives of its rural people within the context of environmental restoration and greening on a sustainable basis. Towards this end, it is considered to set up the biomass gasifier system for supplying electricity for various applications, including pumping of water in rural areas.
