In-order to meet the 40GWp rooftop solar aim set by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India (GOI) by 2022, and target perceived by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) to install rooftop solar PV power plants in 1,00,000 households in Gujarat, Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) decided to take up the aforesaid initiative through the mega-launch of 'Solar Equinox Day' today in Surat, Gujarat.

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), an independent, not-for-profit research institute, brought together multiple stakeholder groups to deliberate on the need and importance of access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for all to accelerate sustainable development in the north-east region of India. The dialogue was attended by senior representatives from government organizations, think-tanks and top Indian conglomerates and saw deliberations that focused on the theme, "Localising the Post-2015 Development Agenda - Water and Sanitation for All."

TERI to hold global conclave: World Sustainable Development Summit to discuss climate action post Paris agreement

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), ranked globally as one of the five most impactful think tanks by the International Center for Climate Governance Ranking 2016, today announced the 2016 edition of its flagship event, World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS). Themed 'Beyond 2015: People, Planet & Progress,' the Summit assumes critical significance in the background of the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals and signing of the landmark Paris Agreement last year. The Summit will be held from October 5-8 in New Delhi.
TERI study of Uttarakhand and Goa recommends integration of climate resilience measures into national and state urban planning
