US-India Summit to accelerate growth and development of energy partnerships
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) today announced the Fifth US-India Energy Partnership Summit, which is scheduled to take place from September 30 October 1, 2014, in Washington, DC, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US, and in the wake of the UN Secretary General's Climate Summit. At a pre-Summit Roundtable discussion held today, participants deliberated on new avenues to strengthen energy cooperation between the two countries, especially in the areas of renewable energy, sustainable cities and sustainable transport. The focus of the dialogue was to accelerate the growth and development of sustainable energy partnerships.
