Identification of win-win adaptation options through adaptation metrices and integrated adaptation decision making frameworks

The current status of climate change adaptation is characterized by ad-hoc decision-making mechanisms without a means to measure the progress in adaptive capacity of people and systems udner question. In order to facilitate planned adaptation, this research aims to (i) identify a set of metrices to measure the effectiveness of adaptation options; and (ii) develop an integrated decision-making framework that helps various stakeholders to take adaptation decisions in the agriculture sector in the Gangetic basin.
Implemeting business development Services in Rajkot and Mohali-Panchkula-Chandigarh MSME cluster

The objective of the proposed project is to strengthen the access to BDS (Business Development Services) of SMEs in Rajkot and Mohali-Panchkula-Chandigarh clusters by designing and implementing strategiesto:- Develop the market for BDS
- Strengthen the access to BDS providers
- Assist BDS providers in the clusters (Rajkot and Mohali-Panchkula-
Chandigarh) to become self-sustainable.
- Develop the clusters as `role models? for other similar clusters in
the country.

The project aims at instilling good waste management practices among the students and teachers and through them to the larger community. In this project we strive to ensure that the schools are involved in garbage collection and send it for recycling to the identified recycling units. The phase I of the project was implemented in Delhi and Bangalore with 30 schools each in both the cities. In phase II, we are focussing on 100 schools from Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi and Bangalore.
