Workshop on Building Digital Archive using Advanced Features of GSDL

The workshop objectives include familiarizing participants with the concepts of digital library. Also, the workshop will facilitate understanding of digitization and practical knowledge on the digitization process; offers hands-on experience to advanced features of digital library developments using open-source software GSDL (Greenstone Digital Library).;This will help the participants to develop practical skills in the installation, building and customization of their own Dl using open source software. In brief, the workshop will deliver the following: (1) Familiarize participants with the concepts of digital library and institutional repository; (2) Facilitate practical knowledge on the digitization process; (3) Offer hands-on experience to develop digital libraries and use of open-source software GSDL (Greenstone Digital Library); and (4) Help participants develop practical skills in the installation, customizatio of DL.
