India transforming to a net-zero emissions energy system A call to action to 2030
The report builds on the previous TERI-Shell’s jointly developed Sketch scenarios that explored technological pathways for India to achieve net zero by 2050.
Since, this is a decisive decade which will have a significant impact on India’s road to its 2070 net zero emissions target, the current report builds on the previous study, and explores the decarbonization strategies of power, transport, buildings, and agriculture sectors to 2030.
Four modelling scenarios, Net Zero and Towards Net Zero from previous study developed by TERI, and the SKY 2050, and Archipelagos scenario developed by Shell team, identify thrust areas for accelerated sectoral action to put India on a net zero trajectory.
