GOF Climate Change and Energy Programme: ISS (Information Sharing System) to enhance coping capacities of farming communities in dealing with climate variability and climate change

The overall goal of the project is to enhance the adaptive capacity of farming communities to cope with climate variability and long-term climate change The project objective is to demonstrate usefulness of Information Sharing System (ISS) in assisting agricultural farmers cope with climate variability and long term climate change The project includes strengthening channels of information flow to enable farmers? better coping with climate variability and long-term change. The project aims to strengthen ?agri and climate? information reaching the farming communities. This would be done through the development of an Information Sharing System (ISS) for effective dissemination of agri-climate information, thereby enhancing the resilience of agricultural farmers to climate variability and long term climate change.
