Development of protocols for increased cell density for Glori cultures
The objectives were:
1. Standardization of fermentation conditions to increase the cell density by manipulation of :
i. Temperature condition
ii. Inoculum density
iii. Agitation
2. Standardization and selection of suitable growth factors to achieve higher cell density of at least 108 CFU per ml of sample.
3. Following growth factors were tested :
i. Growth stimulators (Vitamins and trace minerals)
ii. Carbon source (combination of different carbon sources)
