Developing solar technicians-cum-entrepreneurs through appropriate capacity development
The overall objective of the project is to train and develop about 400 solar technicians cum entrepreneurs and around 100 trained trainers. Under the project, country wide training programmes will be organized at two levels ¿ for the trainers from Advenaced Training Institutes under Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET) and for solar technicians from around 8 states in India - to meet the requirement of skilled manpower for field installations and after sales services envisaged under JNNSM. Under the project, MIS database will also be developed by TERI to keep track of the participants of both the programme from all over the country. This may also be uploaded in the MNRE website for all to see the district wise list of trained solar technicians cum entrepreneurs in the country. The database will also be shared with the industry so that they can engage the trained technicians while implementing solar projects.
