Decentralised management of rural energy interventions: building capacities of Panchayati Raj institutions

The objective of the project is to build capacities of PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions) for promotion of energy efficiency, supply, and conservation in the rural areas. The focus would be on building their (PRIs) capacities to assess and plan for energy needs of communities and supervise and manage rural energy projects. This would also include training on coordinating financial assistance in the form of loan/subsidy from various agencies as well as maintenance and follow-up requirements.
