Assessment of RFCTLARR 2013 - Odisha, Jharkhand and Assam

The main objectives are to: (1) Ascertain the extent of adherence, by land-acquiring bodies, to the procedural and substantive provision of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013 for land acquisition in tribal areas. (2) Gain knowledge of the experience of project-affected-Scheduled Tribes families regarding the implementation of the provisions of Chapter V of the RFCTLARR Act, 2013. (3) Examine the ground reality regarding the seeking of consent of Gram Sabha or Panchayat or the autonomous District Council, as the case may be, for land acquisition in the Fifth Schedule Area. (4) Obtain insights from land acquiring bodies regarding the implementability of provisions related to Scheduled Tribes.
