YUVA Meet 2015

TERI in association with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized its flagship event, the YUVA (Youth Unite for Voluntary Action) Meet from 2-3 February 2015. Being seventh in the series, YUVA Meet witnessed participation from 225 participants across six nations.

Dr R K Pachauri during his inaugural speech stated, "We have an accumulation of youth power, aspirations, and determination and commitment to bring about the change." Mr Rajeev Gupta, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports graced the occasion during the Inaugural Session along with Mr Richard Everitt, Director Education, British Council India.

The two-day meet's sessions revolved around its theme, 'Sustainable Solutions: Safe Water for All'. Five parallel thematic sessions were organized for the participants on Strategies for Efficient Water Management. Various experts deliberated on these issues as a result of which, participants came out with pragmatic action plans in each of these sectors.
