A webinar titled 'Women's empowerment through access to modern energy: Evidence from India and Nepal', was organised as a part of the international research project EFEWEE, under ENERGIA's Gender and Energy Research Programme, supported by DFID. The webinar was hosted and facilitated by The Energy Research Institute (TERI), New Delhi on 27 December, 2018. The objective of the webinar was to present and discuss the main findings from the 4 year research undertaken as part of this project, and to invite views from the wider research and practitioner community, to discuss how a more coherent and granular understanding of women's empowerment within the realm of modern energy access could help governments, donors, NGOs and local communities make interventions more targeted and effective. The session was moderated by Mr Debajit Palit, Senior Fellow and Director, TERI, and research findings were presented by Dr Mini Govindan and Ms Bigsna Gill.
