Webinar on "Science, Technology & Innovation Policy for Low Carbon Development"

The webinar on 'Science, Technology & Innovation Policy for Low Carbon Development' shared progress made in the domain of scientific research and technological development in response to climate change in China. It emphasized on the national scientific and technological development plans to address the issue of climate change, and also covered the way forward to enhance macro-management and coordination for scientific research and technological development. The presentations made during the webinar covered the topics of S&T Policy and Actions in China in Response to Climate Change, Technology R&D, and Demonstration and Deployment Programmes in China. It also discussed about technology cases of electric vehicles, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS), international scientific and technological cooperation, the Chinese reform plan for S&T programmes, and the funding scheme. The activity was a part of the webinar series on the collaborative project on low carbon development for China and India, which seeks to support policy development by facilitating south-south cooperation and sharing relevant knowledge and building capacities.
