National Seminar: Delhi to Paris Corporate Vision on Climate change
As India Inc. prepares for COP 21 and spells out its strengths, approaches and achievements in tackling the impacts of climate change, TERI Council for Business Sustainability as a part of their special initiative “Delhi to Paris: Corporate Vision on Climate Change” is organizing National Seminar to Pre-launch the Indian corporate vision document on climate change .This initiative was flagged off in February earlier this year, at the High Level Corporate Dialogue with the purpose of presenting the Indian Corporates vision on climate change to the global audience and thereby strengthen India's position with respect to its position on the path of sustainability. After a rigorous process of corporate consultations (webinars) on climate change and inputs from the industry TERI CBS will be releasing a Delhi to Paris: Corporate Vision on Climate Change. The document focuses on energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management and water availability. National Seminar, to be held on 3 Nov’15 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi will be the final corporate consultation (physical corporate meet) to enrich the draft document of corporate vision on climate change with inputs from the participating business fraternity. Over a period of 8 months, the initiative has aided in engaging with nearly 400 corporates. Shri Prakash Javadekar, Honourable Minister of State, MOEF&CC has agreed to be a part of the discussion with his august gathering.
