India-California Air-Pollution Mitigation Program (ICAMP)
The University of California, San Diego (UCSD), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), and TERI launched a programme - India California Air Pollution Mitigation Programme (ICAMP) - in 2013, to learn from the air pollution control measures taken in California to mitigate vehicular emissions, and improve air quality in Indian cities. Based on the research and dialogues between Indian and Californian experts, the project partners came up with the new report titled 'Options to Reduce Road Transport Pollution in India'. The report was released on November 11, 2014 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi by Ms Mary Nichols, Chairman, California Air Resources Board, Prof V Ramanathan, Distinguished Professor of Climate Sciences, UCSD, and Dr R K Pachauri, Director-General, TERI. The event was attended by multiple stakeholders involving the government, academia, industries, and NGOs.
